About CEP-800

Course Overview Reflection

In this course, I was able to explore the concept of “how do people learn” via an in-depth exploration of a variety of learning theories, including behaviorism, cognitivism, social learning theories, critical theories, and other important learning factors, including brain-based learning, trauma-informed learning, play, choice, iteration, and more. This course required the creation and iteration of artifact design, adapting to new knowledge and information as acquired throughout the term. This course highlighted a wide range of theoretical frameworks that could be used to explain how people learn, along with their drawbacks. With this knowledge, I have learned how to analyze my learners and population better, taking into account multiple theories to best aid in the acquisition of knowledge and skills, while demonstrating mastery according to these theoretical foundations. Artifacts found on this page include blog posts discussing a variety of learning theories and a rapid design challenge sample.
